Flexibar Not Showing on My Store: Fix in 30 Seconds

Roughly 80% of "Flexibar isn't showing" tickets are one of five issues. Walk through them in this order and you'll find the cause in under a minute.

1. App Embed is disabled (most common)

After installing Flexibar, you must enable the App Embed in your Shopify theme. Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize → App embeds. Find Flexibar in the list and toggle it on. Save.

2. The bar isn't published

In Flexibar, bars start in draft status. Open your bar and click Publish. Drafts only show in the Flexibar preview, not on your live store.

3. Targeting rules are excluding the page you're viewing

Common culprits:

• Bar is set to Mobile only but you're viewing on desktop
• Bar is geo-targeted to a country other than yours (use a VPN or check the targeting rules)
• Bar is page-targeted to /products/* but you're on the homepage
• Schedule has start date in the future or end date in the past

4. Theme cache

Shopify and Cloudflare cache theme assets aggressively. After enabling App Embed or publishing a bar, hard-refresh: Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + R. If still missing, open in an incognito window to bypass browser cache.

5. Conflict with another announcement bar app

If you previously had Hextom, Smart Bar, or another announcement app installed, residual code may hide Flexibar. Disable or uninstall the conflicting app, then disable and re-enable Flexibar's App Embed to refresh the inject point.
